1. TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Sweepstakes begins on July 3rd, 2003 and ends on August 19, 2003. To enter, visit http://www.dccomics.com. From the characters listed online, select the character that you believe is Hush and complete and submit the entry form as prompted. Answer must be correct to be eligible. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) August 19, 2003. Entrants must use their own names. Entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the record holder of the e-mail account from which the entry originated. Limit one entry per person, household or email address. If there are multiple entries, Sponsor will only accept the first one received. All entries become the exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be returned to entrants. E-mail entries containing attached files and entries that do not comply with these rules are not eligible and will be rejected. . Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, or misdirected entries or for errors, interruptions, deletions, defects, or delays in operations in transmission or technical difficulties, whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communication devices, or transmission lines or data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials, loss or otherwise. By participating in this Sweepstakes, each entrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, warrants that s/he is eligible to participate in this Sweepstakes, and agrees to release Sponsor and it respective parent companies, subsidiaries, agencies and affiliates, and all of their respective employees, officers, directors and agents from any and all liability, loss or damages arising in connection with participation in this Sweepstakes including, but not limited to, the awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of any prize.
2. PRIZES: There will be one (1) Grand-Prize winner, three (3) First-Prize winners, and (5) Second-Prize winners. The Grand-Prize winner will receive Jim Lee's unused original penciled artwork for the cover of BATMAN #616 (approximate retail value $3900.00); the First-Prize winners will each receive a BATMAN statute designed by Jim Lee (approximate retail value $195.00 each); and the Second-Prize winners will each receive a BATMAN Hush Hardcover edition (approximate retail value $19.95 each) (total approximate retail value of all prizes $4584.75). The prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and not redeemable for cash, credit or merchandise. If any prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value. If any prize is not claimed within thirty (30) days of the date notification of the prize has been sent or if a winning entrant is found to be ineligible, alternative winners will be selected on same basis as original winners.
3. RANDOM DRAWING/WINNERS LIST: All prize winners will be selected by random drawing on or about September 10th, 2003 from among all eligible entries received containing correct answers. The winners will be notified by e-mail, U.S. mail or telephone on or before 11:59 p.m. (EST) September 24th, 2003. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible correct entries received. Entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and Sponsor has the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from this Sweepstakes and that Sponsor's decision is final and binding. Entrants grant Sponsor the right to use their names and any information provided in their entry forms, in any medium of communication, including print, Internet, radio and/or television and for any purpose, including advertising, promotional or other purposes, by Sponsor or its affiliates, without additional compensation. The winners may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility, release of liability/publicity release (where legal) within 10 days of notification attempt. If affidavit is not received or if prize notification is returned as non-deliverable within the time frame allotted, prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected via random drawing. If a minor is selected as a winner, Sponsor may award the prize in the name of a parent or legal guardian. Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes. 4. ELIGIBILITY: Open only to legal U.S. residents (except in the State of Florida and Puerto Rico and where otherwise prohibited by law or regulation) who are at least 13 years old as of August 19, 2003, and who had Internet access on or before July 1, 2003. Sweepstakes is not open to employees of DC Comics, Warner Bros Entertainment, AOL Time Warner, or their immediate families and their advertising and promotion agencies.
5. INTERNET: If, for any reason, this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, tampering, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause which corrupts or threatens the administration, security or integrity of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend the Sweepstakes. ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES. Information submitted in Internet entries, including entrant's name, address, e-mail address, etc., may be used by Sponsor for marketing, promotional or other purposes.

7. GOVERNING LAW: Sweepstakes rules and conduct shall be governed and enforced pursuant to New York law, excluding choice of law provisions. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Sweepstakes must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States. Federal and state regulations apply. Void where prohibited and subject to all Federal, State, and local laws.
