DR. JOHN CARTER, Resident: Now a senior resident, Dr. John Carter is experiencing all the joys and trials of his first years as a doctor. His three years in the emergency room plus a year as a surgical intern under the intense scrutiny of Dr. Benton have prepared him well, but some lessons can only be learned through experience.

Noah Wyle received five Emmy nominations for his role as Dr. John Carter. He departed the series to spend more time with his family though continues to make guest appearances. Noah has also enjoyed a successful movie career with roles opposite Michelle Pfeiffer, Jennifer Lopez and Julianne Moore. His movies include, "Donnie Darko" (2001), "White Oleander" (2002), "Enough" (2002), and most recently, "The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines" (2006). He is happily married to make-up artist Tracy Warbin and the couple have a son and daughter. A native of Hollywood, California, Noah is also the voluntary artistic producer of the Blank Theatre Company in Hollywood.
