Helpless to do anything more for his mother, Dr. Peter Benton (ERIQ LA SALLE) intends to heal every patient he sees--from a diabetic young girl to a teenager with a brain tumor. Meanwhile, Dr. Douglas Ross (GEORGE CLOONEY) makes plans with his new girlfriend, Diane Leeds (LISA ZANE), and her son, Jake (ZACHARY BROWN). He agrees to participate in Jake's Saturday softball practices. Dr. Susan Lewis (SHERRY STRINGFIELD) tries to help her sister, Chloe (KATHLEEN WILHOITE), who is pregnant with a baby girl and has no place to live. John Carter impresses ER chairman Dr. Swift (MICHAEL IRONSIDE). However, Dr. Mark Greene (ANTHONY EDWARDS) continues to have problems with Swift when Greene opts to make amends with his wife, Jennifer (CHRISTINE HARNOS), instead of meeting with Swift. |
