Gloria Ruben: Ruben joined "ER" in a recurring role as Jeanie Boulet, a married therapist who provided home care for Dr. Benton's ailing mother and found herself falling in love with Benton. When she joined "ER" as a series regular in the second season, her character was promoted to physician's assistant, and soon Jeanie ended her rocky relationship with Benton. Ruben has earned two Emmy Award nominations for portraying Jeanie's courageous battle to live a life of dignity despite being HIV positive.
