1. What are the Warner Bros. Online Message Boards?
Message boards are discussion areas organized around specific topics. The Warner Bros. Online boards are a place for you to come and discuss your favorite Warner Bros. movies, music and television shows. To start posting, click here.

2. Do I have to register?
Yes, in order to use the Warner Bros. Message Boards, you must be a registered user of Warner Bros. Registration Service. This is a FREE service that allows anyone that has created a Screen Name to easily and securely register at a variety of Warner Bros. Web sites. This will eliminate your need to remember multiple names and passwords for all the places you visit within the Warner Bros. Community on the Web.

3. Why is there a flaming folder next to some of the board posts?
A flaming folder appears next to the most popular posts.

4. How do I use the Formatting Tools?
The Warner Bros. Online Message Boards provides Formatting Tools that allow you to create fun and unique messages and signatures by changing your font style and color. Options are available using a simple point and click feature to create. Available Formatting Tools include: Bold Text, Italic Text, Underlined Text, Insert URL, Insert Email Address, Smaller Type, Normal Type, and Larger Type. Click here to view all of the Formatting Tools available.

Warner Bros Message Board Formatting Tools* also include colors with which to change the text color(s) of your message(s). The standard colors offered are: Black, Dark Green, Fuchsia, Light Aqua, Blue, Brown, Light Blue, Light Purple, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Dark Blue, Red, White, Light Grey, and Light Pink. *An additional "pop up" menu containing a 256 color palette is available in IE only.

To change the color of your text simply click on the color of your liking. You should see the following in your message window [C=0000FF]. Insert text between the tags like so: [C=0000FF]Place your text here!. Your result will look like this: Place your text here!

To use the bold and other Formatting Tools you will do essentially same thing, except you will need to click on to "begin" the bolding and then to end the bolding. The same applies for all the formatting features. Click here for more information re: inserting links and email addresses into your posts. You may also mix-n-match your formatting options. Just remember that whatever you want formatted must go between the formatting tags. Here are some additional examples of using and combining Formatting Tools:

[LARGE]This text will be large[/LARGE]
would result in this: This text will be large

[SMALL]This text will be small and bold[/SMALL]
would result in this: This text will be small and bold

[C=FFA500]This text will be orange and bold[C=FFA500]
would result in this: This text will be orange and bold

5. How can I use smilies?
You've probably seen others use smilies before in email messages or other bulletin board posts. Smilies are keyboard characters used to convey an emotion, such as a smile :) or a frown :( . Warner Bros. Online has given our smilies a little more character and we refer to them as 'emoticons'. Our message boards offer a point and click feature to insert emoticons into your message(s). To use an emoticon simply click on one with your pointer. Click here to see a list of all the standard emoticons used on the Warner Bros. Online Message Boards. And, keep your eyes peeled for special, "secret" emoticons available on your favorite boards!

6. Can I add HTML to my messages?
You cannot insert standard HTML tags into your posts, they will not work. Instead, Warner Bros. Message Boards offer an HTML-free "rich text" environment using the formatting tools noted above.

7. How do I create a signature to add to my posts?
You may use a signature (similar to those commonly used in email messages) on your posts. To create your signature for the first time, click the "Profile" link or button, create your desired signature and click "Apply". Once you have a signature stored, you can choose to include it in any post you make by checking the "Add Signature to reply" box when you create your post. You may also change your signature at any time by clicking the "Profile" button.

8. Are there size limits to Posts and Signatures?
2000 is the total number of characters per post. That includes spaces and code tags and signatures. The very largest a signature can be is 1024 characters. When you create a signature, you draw from the total allotted 2000 characters. So, if your signature is 250 characters (including spaces and code tags) you have 1750 characters left to use in your post. Important Note: If you exceed the character limit you will end up with a blank page. Have fun with your signature, but bear in mind, the longer it is, the less characters you have available for your actual post.

9. Can I attach files?
For security reasons, you may not attach files to any posts.

10.Are there guidelines I must follow?
Please click here to view the Terms Of Use for this site.

11. An abusive user is posting offensive material. What do I do?
The most important thing to do is to not engage the abusive user. We frequently scan our message boards for any offensive posts. If we find that any message board users are violating our Terms of Use we reserve the right to deactivate their account.

12. Can I edit my own posts?
Editing of posts is a tremendous drain on our system resources that causes the boards to crash. As a result, we do not offer an edit function. However, posts have a Preview function that allows you to view what your post looks like before you submit it.

13. How do I preview my message before I post it?
Click on the preview link just to the right of the message window. A window will pop up with exactly what your message will look like once it is posted. (Note: This feature is only available to Internet Explorer users.)

14. What happened to my post? Does someone moderate the message boards?
Any posts in violation of our Terms of Use agreement are removed from the message boards. Additionally, threads inactive for more than 45 days will be deleted.

15. Where'd my post go... I didn't do anything wrong!?
Threads inactive for more than 45 days will be deleted. If you beleive your post was removed within 45 days, please re-check our Terms of Use, as your post may have been in violation.

16. Are there any censor features?
There is an automatic censor feature built in to these boards. This censoring is not an exact science, however, so it is possible that certain words may be censored out of context. Inappropriate words will appear as "naughty" word icons, bringing attention to you as needing your mouth washed out with soap and/or that you have attempted to use inappropriate language:

Attempts to bypass the censor filter and/or the use of language deemed as inappropriate or abusive can result in the deactivation of a user's account. For more information, please click here.

17. Are cookies used?
This bulletin board uses cookies to store the following information: the last time you logged in, your username and password, and your preferred "topic view", if you set it in preferences. These cookies are stored on your browser. No cookies are used to track your movement or perform any other function other than enhance your use of the bulletin board. If your browser does not support cookies, or you have not enabled cookies on your browser, many of these timesaving features will not work properly.

18. How come my links / email addresses aren't working?
Please note the following examples on how to properly insert links into your post:
Your link should look like this:
and the results would turn out as this:
http://www.warnerbros.com/ <<- Click here!
Similarly, when inserting email addresses, it should look like this: Email Me!

19. What do I do if I lost my username and/or password?
If you do not know the correct password for your Screen Name, we can help you. Here's what to do:

 • Web users: Click on the "I forgot my password" link on the Sign In screen
