When Lorelai learns that Christopher's father died, she spends an evening at his home trying to console him but neglects to tell Luke the truth about where she was. Meanwhile, Emily and Richard are briefly reunited when they rescue a lost dog. Luke brings Lorelai her own portable skating pond.
