When Stars Hollow's oldest resident dies and leaves his house to the town, Luke has an ulterior motive for volunteering to help turn the house into a temporary museum. Dean (recurring guest star JARED PADALECKI) is also working on the project and offers Luke unwelcome advice about the dangers of dating a Gilmore girl. To get publicity for the Dragonfly Inn, Lorelai grants an interview with a travel magazine but immediately regrets the unkind comments she makes about being raised by Emily. Meanwhile, Lane suspects that Zach (recurring guest star TODD LOWE) is having an affair with music store owner Sophie (recurring guest star Grammy Award winner CAROLE KING - composer, producer, singer of the "Gilmore Girls" theme song "Where You Lead"), while Rory and Paris are both devastated by trouble with their respective boyfriends. Recurring guest star JACKSON DOUGLAS (Sookie's husband, Jackson) directed the episode.
