Contest Rules

THIS PROMOTION IS OFFERED ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES (EXCLUDING PUERTO RICO) WHO ARE LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES (EXCLUDING PUERTO RICO) AT THE TIME THEY PARTICIPATE.

THE MOVIE SCRATCH-N-WIN PROMOTION 2001 OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID IN PUERTO RICO AND WHERE PROHIBITED.

ELIGIBILITY: The Scratch-N-Win Game (the "Game") and Grand Prize Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") (collectively, the "Promotion") is open to legal U.S. residents (excluding PR) who are 18 years of age or older at time of participation and who had Internet access on or before December 25, 2001. Employees of AOL, Time Warner, Inc., Warner Bros. ("Sponsor"), Warner Bros. Online, Warner Bros. Television, and The WB Network and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, and advertising and promotional agencies and their respective officers and agents (collectively "Sponsor and its agents") and the immediate family members and persons living in the same household of each are not eligible.

HOW TO PLAY THE GAME: Beginning at 12:00:01 a.m. PST on December 26, 2001 through 11:59:59 p.m. PST on April 26, 2002, or until Game Pieces are exhausted, log on to www.warnerbros.com/web/movies/scratchnwin/index/jsp, and enter your full name, street address, daytime telephone number and email address, and click on the "submit" button. While Game Piece supplies last, you will be prompted to "scratch off" (using your computer mouse or other pointing device) the image of a movie poster that will be displayed on your computer screen (each, a "Game Piece"). Immediately after "scratching off" the Game Piece, you will see a screen displaying either a "Congratulations! You're a big-time Scratch-N-Winner!" message or a "Bummer! You didn't scratch a winner this time. Please try again tomorrow!" message. If you receive the winning message, you win that prize, subject to verification. Only one Game Piece per day per person and/or email address.

HOW TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES: After "scratching off" the Game Piece, you will automatically be entered into the Sweepstakes, regardless of whether you win or lose the Game. The Sweepstakes winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received on or about May 5, 2002, by Sponsor or its designee, the judge of the Promotion, whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the Promotion.

SWEEPSTAKES PRIZE AND ODDS OF WINNING: One "Aiwa 20" HiFi TV/VCR featuring twin side-firing front speakers, MTS stereo/SAP broadcast reception, front and rear A/V input terminals, 181-channel cable compatible TV tuner and more. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $ 1,000.00. The odds of winning the Sweepstakes Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received, however, there are a maximum of 300,000 possible entries.

GAME PRIZES AND ODDS OF WINNING: Five winners will each receive a Movie Poster Prize. ARV: $ 19/ea. Odds: 1:300,000.

SECOND CHANCE DRAWING: If you are not a Game Prize winner, you will be automatically entered into the second chance drawing. All Game Prizes not awarded via the Game will be awarded in a random drawing from all eligible entries on or about May 5, 2002, by the judge of the Promotion. Odds of winning a prize in the second chance drawing depend on the number of unclaimed Game Prizes and the number of eligible entries.

WINNER NOTIFICATION: Each winner will be notified by certified mail and must sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability (the "Release") and return it to Sponsor in the pre-paid overnight envelope provided, which must be received by Sponsor within 14 days of the date of the Release, or the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. If any prize notification is returned as undeliverable, an alternate winner will be selected.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: No cash redemptions or prize substitutions allowed, except at the Sponsor's sole discretion. Prizes are non-transferable. All federal, state, and local taxes related to the prizes are the winners' responsibilities. The Sweepstakes Prize winner will be issued a 1099 tax form for the ARV of the Sweepstakes Prize. All prizes will be awarded. Limit one Game Prize per person and/or email address. This Promotion is governed by the laws of the State of California, with venue in Los Angeles County, California, and all claims must be resolved in the state or federal courts of Los Angeles County, California. By participating, participants agree: (a) to be bound by the Official Rules, the decisions of the judge, and the Warner Bros. Online Privacy Policy (b) to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its agents from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses or liabilities caused by, arising out of, or related to their participation in the Promotion and/or their use/misuse of the Prizes; and (c) to be contacted by Sponsor via email. By accepting a prize, each winner consents to the use of his/her name and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation (except if winner is a resident of TN or where prohibited by law). Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries, for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, for lost or unavailable network connections, or for failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions or any human error which may occur in the receipt or processing of the Game Pieces/entries. Proof of entering information at website does not constitute proof of delivery or receipt of information to/by Sponsor. Use of computer programs and other automatic means to participate in the Promotion is prohibited and may result in the disqualification of the participant. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person participating in the Promotion, the Game Piece/entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered on the date the Game Piece is played/entry is submitted. All Game Pieces and entries become property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.

INTERNET: If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including infection due to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, human error or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Promotion, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the Game or entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Promotion and to select the winners from all eligible entries received prior to the cancellation or termination. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, any combination thereof, or otherwise, including any injury or damage to any participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in the Promotion.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
